Most of my clients receive their first hypnosis session at session one.

INSIGHT #2: The influence of your mental picture of you, determines who "you" believe you are. It decides what your subconscious beliefs are about you and your success. How well do you believe you handle stage presence?
By reading the story of Erin and Leslie directly below, you will have an even better understanding of why YOU CHOOSE TO use the power of your subconscious mind most effectively. You will discover and appreciate why one person can WOW an audience and another person can self sabotage unknowingly, even though both ladies had the utmost desire to share their passion for their topic with their audiences; both individuals diligently worked hard on their presentations. As your read on to learn the outcome, pay attention to the fact that both Leslie and Erin were presenting at a major conference; both had prepared in ways that "felt right" for them. Discover the reason why one falls short of success and why the other lady achieves her desired result. Keep in mind - equally, both women secretly wanted their presentation outcome to be considered by the audience as the "WOW factor to success." You can expect to gain knowledge of what happens when an individual understands how to tap into and use the infinite riches of their powerful, subconscious mind and the other does not!
The story of Erin: Each day since Erin first learned she would be a presenter at a major conference, she began using the power of her subconscious mind to her benefit. She defined the purpose and goals of her speech and decided what 'the punch' in the presentation was to be. She structured the language of her talk to match the audience's knowledge of the subject matter. In her presentation plan, she articulated and reinforced certain facts and decided how she wanted to be remembered by the audience, post-presentation. Daily, Erin visually replayed "mental movies" always with successful scenes and results in her subconscious mind and she repetitively brought into play, all five senses (sight, sound, smell, taste and feel). In her mind's eye, Erin intentionally created her end result; she focused on success! As she consistently replayed her "mental movie" in her imagination, she imagined herself feeling and acting like a brilliant speaker. Erin also envisioned having confident body language and vocal tone. She visualized herself feeling ardently enthusiastic and purposely making just the right amount of eye contact with her participants. Erin imagined the appropriate sound of her vocal expression and changing it as needed when she made specific points during her talk. In her subconscious mind, Erin deliberately produced two valuable factors:
- Her confidence; and
- Her and her audience's belief of the 'WOW FACTOR'.
She replayed her mental movie of her presentation in her mind 100's of times before the actual conference had taken place; subconsciously, Erin had already inspired, entertained, and motivated her audience. In Erin's subconscious mind, she held the belief that she had grabbed her listener's attention and had 'WOWED' them. Her expectations, self-belief in her performance and a successful outcome remained in her imagination over and over again. In her mind's eye, Erin heard the attendees repeating the words, "Wow Erin, that was great, you made me want to hear more!" As you can imagine, she planted those beliefs deeply into her subconscious mind. This aided Erin in receiving the outcome she desired and imagined; she acted on those beliefs. Outcome: Erin WOWED her audience!
The story of Leslie: Leslie has always thought of herself as a 'planner' and like Erin, Leslie also worked painstakingly on her presentation. To Leslie, her speech sounded first-class. She 'memorized' her talk; it felt 'all right' as she practiced and repeated the words out loud that she planed to share with her audience. She thought to herself, "I have just one thing left to do in preparation for tomorrow's Big Day". Leslie followed through with that thought and stopped by the conference room where both she and Erin were to speak the next day. As part of her groundwork, she wanted to stand at the podium and get a feel for the layout of the room. She arrived at the room, walked up to the speaker's platform - looked out into the empty conference room chairs and WHAM - all of a sudden Leslie felt powerless. A natural physiological response (an adrenalin rush) kicked in almost instantly. You know the feeling, Leslie experienced a sudden overpowering rush of fear; her legs shook and almost instantly, she seemed to be unable to recall her well 'rehearsed' words. Outcome: Because Leslie used her conscious mind throughout the planning process vs. her powerful, subconscious mind, as she stood at the podium, all she heard was the inner, conscious mind-chatter saying "Oh no, you can't do this, it doesn't feel right." Her passion for her presentation quickly faded away, fear became the dominant player. Let's discover what happened with the above.
Even though both ladies as you recall meticulously prepared for their talks:
- In the story of Erin, she subconsciously replayed her mental movie of 'the Big Day' many times over. In her mind, she owned her talk; repeatedly, each time Erin mindfully replayed her upcoming presentation, she reinforced her expectations of 'WOWING' her audience and increased her success percentage. You now also realize, Erin's self-confidence became increasingly solid, this was a benefit of her subconscious mind.
- In the story of Leslie, she primarily used her conscious mind during the preparation phase of 'rehearsing' for the big conference; she did not reframe her mental images of the scared, younger self. Leslie's frightened reaction and unwanted conclusion came from her previously programmed subconscious impressions of her as an apprehensive, public speaker. Unfavorable subconscious impressions of her younger years unfortunately 'ruled' causing faulty, reactions and unwanted outcomes. Her subconscious self-belief as a speaker fell short of her desires. She acted upon her dominant beliefs; her rational mind played havoc with her presentation. Because Leslie's dominant thoughts were fearful, they led her; passion for the 'Big Day' based on noted above subconscious self-beliefs, prevented her from 'WOWING' her audience.
How Emotions and Beliefs affect one's Public Speaking Performance:
Because feelings are housed in one's subconscious mind, when a person's insecurities, fears and worries become dominant, the speaker then looses control of their audience. The speaker's focus becomes 'the emotion' instead of the audience or the purpose of the presentation. As you have learned in the story of Leslie, regardless of how passionate a speaker feels - if the subconscious emotion is misguided or undirected, the presentation becomes less than memorable because the leading emotion rules the speaker. In Leslie's story, insecurity unmistakably became the dominant element of her speech; she did not subconsciously 'own' her intended outcome. A person can't rely on willpower, it gives up easily. Had she intentionally strengthened her subconscious self-beliefs as a speaker, Leslie could have had a very powerful and 'WOWING' audience effect. Because Leslie's subconscious beliefs in her as a public speaker were previously hindered in her younger years and had not had been eliminated, her effectiveness as a public speaker was reduced. Root Cause Hypnosis could have eliminated the problem from the beginning and like Erin, Leslie too, could have had a very powerful ending to her presentation.
To grab your audience's attention and 'WOW' them, your subconscious and conscious interpretations must be in alignment or your desired affect will be weakened significantly as you have seen in the above story of Leslie. Keep in mind by strengthening your subconscious, dominant beliefs of you and your capabilities, you will act upon those stronger, beliefs. As I partner with you, via preparation and hypnosis, I will help you define the subconscious messages you choose to portray in your subconscious mind and carryover onto the stage or platform whenever you do public speaking. A primary goal will be for you formulate your ideas and visions into your reality.
INSIGHT #3: When you formulate an idea, you visualize it. Because your actions are based on your mental recordings, when you deem an idea or vision believable, you act upon it and you then fulfill the emotion of your thoughts.
A person's body, posture and their words become affected by their thoughts and feelings. When you are just about to stand up and begin talking to your audience, how does this affect "you"? If you have stage fright, "wishing it away" (willpower) won't banish your mental blocks or "eject" your fear of stage fright. To become that brilliant, radiant speaker it takes insight; it is imperative to know your audience's needs, the format to be used and you're speaking goals. As you have learned with Leslie and Erin, it requires mental and subconscious training and discipline, focus, and planning. Confidence becomes part of the result.
To take immediate control of "the whole picture" requires more than skill; it necessitates a clear overview of how you subconsciously view your impressions of public speaking. Regarding oratory, it all begins with the power of your mental picture of you and how you subconsciously feel about that. Your mental picture is viewed through your "subconscious (mind) lens." Hypnosis can help you create a beautiful scene in your 'mind's dark room;' you can deliver to your audience, a presentation that 'WOWS' them and wanting for more.
INSIGHT #4: The imprints of your mental pictures of you are like the lens of a camera. The subconscious mind will bring to pass any picture that you hold in your mind of you.
Let's get creative and compare your subconscious mind's eye to a camera and a 'dark room' where film is developed. A wise individual once told me to think of my conscious mind as a camera and my subconscious mind as the "housing plate" on the camera, where the imprints of my mental pictures of me and my life are recorded. So lets fast forward our imaginations into "The Subconscious Dark Room"; this is the special place in our subconscious mind where our mental pictures (of ourselves and our life) are developed.
If your mental impressions are filled with insecurity and unwelcoming nervousness, regarding you and your ability to deliver effective, enthusiastic speeches, you will then produce unwanted results based upon the fact that you subconsciously have those beliefs and feelings. Conversely, when you have strong mental pictures of you and your viewpoint of you is one of power and proficiency, your capabilities will be filled with confidence and self-assurance. You will act upon those empowering self-beliefs; they will be carried over into your important presentations. Imagine you, 'owning' your presentation and holding your audience's attention! That can easily be achieved. Hypnosis is a very natural and powerful tool; it can help you reap the above beneficial rewards of achieving your desires as a brilliant public speaker. Additional benefits of hypnosis are that the individual can create their ability to speak with assertion, self-belief and poise. Add emotional and mental preparation to that, (like in the story of Erin) and you are now equipped to hold your audience's attention with enthusiasm.
INSIGHT #5: When you know how your mind functions, you gain a measure of self-assurance. When you banish self-sabotaging thoughts and subconscious blocks, you boost your confidence. How you think about yourself determines how you see yourself, your abilities and your success!
